Bree Bassett
Program Director
Bree Basset has a M. ED in Special Education from University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. She also holds teaching credentials in both mild/mod and mod/severe special education. Bree was born and raised in San Diego and discovered her passion for working with people with disabilities when she was in high school. Since then, she has worked with students with disabilities in after school programs, summer camps, and has taught in both public school and non-public school. Bree is looking forward to helping STRIDES clients become more comfortable and independent in the community.

Mitch Bartram
Social Outreach Director
Mitch was born and raised in Escondido, CA. has extensive experience in recreation and childcare, working 8 years for the City of Escondido Recreation Department, running the before and after school programs at multiple elementary schools. Mitch has worked at an adult transitional school for students with moderate to severe special needs for the last 3 years. He has gained experience with behavior management support as well as personal care. Mitch is looking forward to supporting clients to gain skills and independence within the community.

Kelsey Flynn
Program Director
Kelsey Flynn has an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, San Marcos. Colorado-born and raised, Kelsey moved to San Diego to pursue her career in Special Education. Kelsey has worked with a variety of individuals with disabilities in schools, private practices, summer camps, and rehabilitation centers. Kelsey is looking forward to helping STRIDES clients improve their social skills throughout the community by learning how to navigate new situations, problem-solve, communicate with new people, and self-advocate successfully.

Colleen Dean
Creative Director
Colleen has 6+ years of behavioral management and support in a variety of environments including private in-home care and the educational setting. Colleen has worked with both adolescents and adults with a wide range of disabilities. Colleen also has a background in the creative arts field and will be leading the summer's arts and crafts activities with your STRIDES clients. Colleen is looking forward to taking students into the community to work on self-advocacy skills.
